Canada shuts out Sweden at Four Nations

The Kingston, Ont., native scored twice and Kim St. Pierre of Chateauguay, Que., made 12 saves as Canada shut out Sweden 4-0 on Tuesday in Vierumaki, Finland.

Caroline Ouellette of Montreal and Hayley Wickenheiser of Shaunavon, Sask., also scored for Canada.

Canada dominated play, firing 42 shots at Swedish goalie Sara Grahn.

Canada's next game is Wednesday against Finland, which lost 4-0 on Tuesday to the United States.

Canada and the U.S. - the superpowers of international women's hockey - play Friday in the final preliminary-round game for both teams.

The two teams that emerge from the preliminary round will play for the gold medal on Saturday.
