Cumiskey boosted the visitors to a 4-2 lead at 11:04, but the Avs couldn't capitalize on a 5-on-3 advantage several minutes later.

Edmonton made it a one-goal contest with 16 seconds left in the period thanks to Gagner stashing home Lubomir Visnovsky's rebound.

The Oilers have no problem scoring but they still give up goals. 71 is the almost the worse in the Western Conference. Need to improve on that. They are road kills for the other team. Two win so far on the road. Need to improve on that department, too.

Both teams can skate and it was an good battle. Feel sorry for Pat Quinn with his teams record this year so far. Its difficult to win in this league because most teams are about equal in raw talent. Sometimes lady luck has to be on your side.
