VANCOUVER — Steven Hodges scored twice and Alex Gogolev had a goal and two assists as the Victoria Royals downed the host Vancouver Giants 6-2 on Friday in Western Hockey League play.
Tyler Soy, Trent Lofthouse and Austin Carroll also scored for the Royals (24-17-3), who extended their win streak to four games.
Cain Franson and Brendan Rouse scored for the Giants (12-34-0), who sit last in the WHL standings.
Patrik Polivka made 30 saves for the win as Payton Lee turned away 20 shots in a losing cause.
Victoria went 2 for 4 on the power play while Vancouver scored once on six chances with the man advantage.
