VANCOUVER - The Saskatoon Blades scored three goals in four minutes late in the third period en route to a 5-2 win over Vancouver Giants on Sunday in a Western Hockey League game at Pacific Coliseum.

The game was tied 2-2 until Nick Zajac beat Vancouver’s Tyler Fuhr with a slapshot from the top of the circle, which opened the floodgates for the Blades.

Trevor Cheek and Anthony Ast scored for the Giants.

Matej Stransky had two goals for Saskatoon.

The Blades outshot Vancouver 15-4 in the decisive third period.

The next game for the Giants is Wednesday when they visit the Portland Winter Hawks. Their next home game is against Moose Jaw Warriors on Nov. 28.
