MONTREAL – The Canadiens have called up forward Gabriel Dumont from the Hamilton Bulldogs ahead of weekend games against the Pittsburgh Penguins and Boston Bruins.

With Rene Bourque sidelined with a concussion, the Canadiens had no spare forwards available.

Dumont, a 22-year-old native of Degelis, has played 52 games for the Bulldogs this season and leads the team in points (30), goals (15) and assists (15) while also accumulating 81 penalty minutes.
