The Edmonton Oil Kings faced the Calgary Hitmen in WHL action Friday, December 7, 2012 at Rexall Place in Edmonton. It was the sixth annual Teddy Bear Toss event where fans are encouraged to throw the stuffed toys to the ice. The bears are then collected and distributed to less fortunate children across Edmonton. The bears went flying after the Kings had their first goal by Edgars Kulda. According to the Oil Kings website, the goal netted 10,835 bears for 630 CHED Santas Anonymous.
