BRANDON, MAN. – Winger Dylan Wruck had a goal and two assists to lead the Edmonton Oil Kings to their 11th consecutive Western Hockey League victory in a 6-2 rout of the Brandon Wheat Kings on Friday night.

Curtis Lazar scored twice for the Oil Kings (41-11-2-3) in the last five minutes of the game after Edmonton had taken a 4-2 lead into the third period on goals from Trevor Cheek, Wruck, Travis Ewanyk and Henrik Samuelsson.

Ryan Pulock and Eric Roy replied for the Wheat Kings.

Edmonton goaltender Tristan Jarry turned aside 24 shots for the Oil Kings, who maintain their 13-point lead over the Calgary Hitmen in the Eastern Conference standings.

The Oil Kings play the final game of their five-game road trip Sunday night in Swift Current against the Broncos.
