EDMONTON - It's not too early to be thinking about NHL play next season in these parts.

The Edmonton Oilers announced this afternoon they will face the Chicago Blackhawks in 2014-15 pre-season play Sept. 28 at Saskatoon's Credit Union Centre.

The game will be the third time the Oilers will play an exhibition tilt in Saskatchewan's biggest city. Edmonton beat the Blackhawks 4-2 in a 2011 pre-season affair and dropped a 3-1 decision to the New York Islanders, who have often made Saskatchewan a training camp base, in 2009.

Season-ticket holders of the Western Hockey League's Saskatoon Blades will get first crack at tickets for the Oilers-Blackhawks matchup before they're made avauilable to everyone starting at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 14.
