Craig Anderson recorded the shutout as the Ottawa Senators blanked the visiting Buffalo Sabres 2-0 in National Hockey League play at Scotiabank Place Tuesday night.

Defenceman Erik Karlsson broke a scoreless tie in the second period with a shorthanded goal and forward Erik Condra added the only other goal of the game to stake the Senators to a two-goal cushion heading into the third period.

More to come.
