The Lions have played in the championship seven times: in 1964, 1985, 1988, 1994, 2000, 2004 and 2006. The Leos have taken the trophy five times, beating Hamilton 34-24 in 1964, again beating Hamilton in 1985 37-24, defeating the Baltimore CFLers 26-23 in 1994, Montreal 28-26 in 2000 and Montreal 25-14 in 2006.
