WHISTLER — In a training camp that featured a possible goalie controversy, Zack Kassian on the power play and the dawn of the Ryan Miller era, it’s something that the best story just may have been 5-foot-9 and virtually unheard of. At the very least, Curtis Valk proved that his Young Stars tournament was no fluke. And neither were the 59 goals he scored last season in 90 CHL games, playoffs included.
