I have been a loyal Montreal Canadiens fan for 57 years.

Every team out of the NHL gate has been given a gift of a shortened season and the even odds of hoisting the Stanley Cup in 2013. P.K. Subban needs to be signed and secured now, before dissent sneaks in and he becomes a worthless asset.

Any GM should ask only: can we win this year without him or with him?

The answer is pretty clear to any hockey fan, because without him, we will wait another 20 years and I will never experience the thrill and enjoyment again.
