Slovakia defeated Latvia 6-0 in men's preliminary Group B hockey action.
Lubomir Visnovsky, Richard Zednick, and Josez Stumpel scored in the first period as Slovakia jumped to a 3-0 first period lead.
Marian Hossa and Michal Handzus scored in the first five minutes of the second frame with Ivan Baranka lighting the lamp in the third.
