Glendale, AZ (Sports Network) - Star pivot Sidney Crosby was forced from the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-1 loss to the Phoenix Coyotes Thursday with an undisclosed injury.
Crosby disappeared from the bench towards the beginning of the third and the Penguins, which as a matter of team policy do not disclose injuries, labeled him as day-to-day.
The 21-year-old phenom has 13 points with three goals in 11 games so far this season, his fourth in the league. Crosby is coming off an injury-shortened season in which he missed 29 games with a high-ankle sprain, but still finished with 72 points, including 24 goals.
