Marc Staal of the New York Rangers is on the concussion roster.
So too is his teammate Michael Sauer (R).
Boston Bruin Marc Savard has not played this season and his career is in jeopardy since taking a blindside hit from Pittsburgh’s Matt Cooke on March 7, 2010.
Sidney Crosby's comeback after a ten-month hiatus, due to a series of concussion-inducing hits last season, was cut short - it lasted all of eight days and ended with a collision with Boston’s David Krejci on Dec. 5.
Although he returned to score the game-winning, overtime goal in a game against the Habs in Montreal,  November 26, Letang suffered a concussion following a Max Pacioretty hit.

Philadelphia Flyer Claude Giroux, the NHL’s scoring leader with 39 points, was injured Dec. 10 when a teammate’s knee hit his head. His condition was recently deemed a concussion.
L.A. King Mike Richards, the player guilty of a blind-side hit on David Booth, that ended in a concussion two seasons ago, and which led to the first head-shot rule, is now nursing his own concussion.
Milan Michalek (#9) is sent flying after colliding with teammate Erik Karlsson (#65) during Tuesday’s 3-2 overtime victory in Buffalo. Michalek's original injury diagnosis, “upper body injury”, was later changed to a concussion the following day.
Chris Pronger's season is over after a concussion. His injury appears to have been caused by an eye injury in October that was exacerbated in November when Phoenix’s Martin Hanzal drove him into the boards.
Carolina defenseman Joni Pitkanen (left) has been suffering from a concussion since December 6.
New York Islander Brian Rolston (L) suffered a concussion in  a game against Dallas, Thursday night.
Minnesota Wild's Guillaume Latendresse (48) returned from a 15-game concussion absence to score on goaltender Ondrej Pavelec (31) in a December 13 game,  only to feel post-concussion symptoms by the first intermission.
